5 of the best pubs to try when in Leith

Leith is a buzzing port district just north of the city of Edinburgh. Home to hip creatives and longtime locals, this area is a must-see and we recommend 5 pubs that you should try when you’re in town.

Three Marys

Your neighbourhood cocktail bar by the Shore. They serve seasonal and sustainable, locally themed cocktails and are open Wednesday-Sunday. For more information, check out their website.

Teuchters Landing

A cultural institution. The pub is actually the former waiting room for the Leith to Aberdeen steamboat ferry. There is a large beer garden and pontoon that fill up quickly in the summer months. This place does not allow reservations and is strictly walk-ins only however, if you are passing and there is availability, it is a great place to try. Their pub food is lovely and there are vegetarian/vegan options. To find out more, visit their website.

Granary

Sitting on the front of Leith Shore, this restaurant serves a variety of meals from their famous burger to the classic Fish & Chips. Their bar also serves a wide range of cocktails, wines and beers. Check out more on their website.

Roseleaf

Playful, quirky decor in an informal cafe bistro with health conscious menu and cocktails served in teapots. This is a fantastic pub lunch spot if you’re touring the Royal Yacht Britannia which is in the same neighbourhood. Check out more on their website.

Barologist

Based on Leith Shore, this pub is one of a kind and your drinks can be too! This bar can print your face on your cocktail! They also serve delicious food and are well-worth a visit if you’re at the Shore. See what they’re up to on their Facebook page.
